After the success of his first studio album, Akon released his second debut studio album “Konvicted”. In 2004 Akon rose to prominence following the release of his hit single “Locked Up” from his first debut studio album “Trouble”. When he and his older brother reached high school, his parents left them on their own in Jersey City and moved the rest of the family to Atlanta, Georgia in United States of America.Īkon started his musical career professionally in 1994.
